- My name is Renee Ann Cramer, but my nickname (from my husband, Aaron) is "Smilla." This blog honors that nickname, and refers to my favorite character from a book, Smilla Jasperson from Smilla's Sense of Snow (Peter Hoeg). Its in honor of my desire to live simply, and my belief that all Life is sacred. It also makes oblique reference to a great Racconteurs song ... "... lead a simple life in a quiet town. Steady as she goes."
